DEAR EDITOR:

I am mystified by Gaston’s obsession with “Rich” Africans, more specifically Nigerians. Eight months ago he was taken for a complete a**.

The outcome caused embarrassment to Antigua on a monumental level and the buffoon hasn’t learned lessons on how to avoid Nigerian fraudsters. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATSAPP GROUP FOR NEWS UPDATES.

Antigua has nothing that would be of interest to “wealthy” Nigerians; they are more likely to spend their money in Switzerland, Dubai or Singapore, unless they are crooks masquerading as “wealthy”. In that case they are more likely to be into money laundering, human or drug trafficking. In recent years they have been involved with kidnapping people for human organs. Antiguans should keep an open mind about the disappearances of their children and more specifically for those children who have never been found.

It is possible they are into all three which would be favourable with the PM.

He has issued Antiguan passport to a wanted criminal without considering the risks attached to his madness.
The Buffoon mentioned that several CARICOM head of states expressed interest in his recent African venture, but did not mention the names of those head of states, chances are that is the figment of his warped and twisted imagination.

It is incomprehensible that any head of state in sound mind would commit his country into a business venture with a wanted criminal, with a failing airline.

Only Gaston has that inclination! Well Antiguans brace yourselves for more scandals.

  1. It clearly appears to me after reading numerous letters concerning the so call “Antigua Airways ” issues that Politics always lands in the mist of it all and thus because of this …People have absolutely no regard for Africans or let alone Africa the richest continent on earth full natural resources that if our Caribbean nations had paid attention to this a long time ago the region would of been better off. Instead we waited for the masses to start to pay close attention to Africa now and hence we followed. My Caribbean people how can one sit here and pen/type a letter to Prime Minster Gaston Browne telling him that Nigeria is full of ” Fraudsters ” just how ignorant can one be? Are you saying with your ever so dear ” educated selves ” that other countries are not full of fraudsters ? Or is it the fact that Nigeria is so wealthy and those who derive from that country have topped the educational channels even in the United States that now most Healthcare and Tech companies cannot survive without them? The highest paid Robotics Engineer in the world I REPEAT in the world hails for Nigeria so again I ask what has Nigeria done to you as an individual that you are so smeared with hate for them? Africans are here to stay they are the catalyst of civilization it is not our fault we were separated from our motherland it was because of the evil minds that saw the black race as being too powerful thus we must be separated why our ancestors ended up in the Caribbean. Do not be fooled by what television has to tell you in the past Africa is Gold, Platinum and much more. What is it you can tell them about the Aviation Industry on a serious note ? Absolutely noting. I refuse to be another ignorant person from the Caribbean who does not know great history . So whether you or any other individual who thinks by aligning oneself as a Caribbean Region and think for a golden last minute that you cannot push forward without the by lateral relationships between the Caribbean and Africa then you are highly fooling yourself in more ways than one. All Countries right now seek to connect with Africa including our dear China All countries . This letter does not even have to do with education it simply has to do with ignorance on the highest level. Common sense cannot be bought in a Candy store. Scammers are everywhere NOT just NIGERIA Caribbean people wake up. Nigeria and other African countries are moving forward and all other countries are trying their utmost best to be on this train as they know in the coming years what is to come. Know where your bloodline comes from West Africa so to speak bad about the home and land of your ancestors is to speak bad about yourself. I am so proud every last day to say I am a black Caribbean individual whose ancestors came from Africa why ? That continent is more wealthy thank you will ever know. You say that wealthy Nigerians or wealthy Africans have no interest in the Caribbean ….. this too is very false!!! they do have viable interest in the Caribbean to invest and make our Islands flourish so do not ever believe they have no interest they very much do some have already started placing their investments in this region. Embrace what is to come my fellow Caribbeans do not fear it. These Africans will be our regions saving grace when all others have turned their backs on us.

  2. I struggled with extreme difficulties to make sense of Emily’s contributions because of various grammatical errors,.

However grammatical errors notwithstanding, the facts are: Nigeria is the most corrupt country within Western society. Nigeria is the 6th largest oil producing country in the world. However, 99% of its population lives in abject poverty. Citizens can go up to 24 hours per day without electricity despite Nigeria’s oil. I can attest to these because I have visited Nigeria several times.

Nigeria is politically unstable, the country have experienced numerous coups , which makes it an unsafe country for international visitors, as without care visitors could be subjected to being robbed at best and at worse kidnapped, and held at ransom, most times victims are murdered.

On one of the occasions of visiting Nigeria I was robbed in broad day light in the presence of Badagry town’s Oba (local King). The Oba watched the robbey, he said nothing and did nothing. One could provide list ot antecedents, but if in doubt, take a bold step and visit Nigeria for yourself.

Africa has done nothing for the Caribbean apart from being party to us being enslaved people and let’s not forget, it was Africans against Africans that stopped Antigua from becoming the first African state in the Caribbean when they joined forces with the colonials who murdered Prince Klass. Can Caribbeans truly trust Nigerians, or West Africans capital NO.
A friend of mine, who is a citizen of Nigeria applied to have his passport renewed in March 2023,,four months have lapsed , he is still without his passport because he didn’t pay bribe money. Where is the progress when local citizens are having to pay bribe money to enjoy basic essentials such as having a passport? Before anyone decides to promote Nigeria or other West African state spend a month in any of those countries and pray for divine intervention on a daily basis.

  3. My dear Antiguan4ever,

I am sorry I cannot please the masses and did not take such great time in putting together a robust caption on “Non grammatical errors ” Is this your way of throwing shades of what is reality? I tend to see where now your bitterness towards Nigerians is. All of what you have indicated in your reply to my statements still holds as much water as a fall. I fore one am not looking to be the “‘National spelling Bee Champion ” especially when I was in rush to send a reply to the “letter” due to the fact I would of been in transit. I speak and write 4 languages I am not looking for badges in spelling trust me I am confident in who I am and I do understand world issues beyond your stigmatism against Africa/ Nigerians. All your friends who have had their mishaps and you yourself being robbed – Only Nigeria is where individuals get robbed? your argument has no basis. My question to you is .. Are you saying it would not have happened anywhere in the world?

You talk boldly of Africa not doing anything for the Caribbean! Whose fault is that? Answer truthfully? Your friend who is Nigerian was allegedly asked to pay bribe money to obtain his renewal of his passport. So are you now saying that all persons who have to have their passport renewed have to pay bribe money? Stop the hatred. You are dealing with the most populated country in Africa so the percentage of crime fore which you put an amount of emphasis on is relatively small vs population.

In addition to all that you have stated while I respect your views I can disagree with them based on what is happening in the world today. Africa is a rising nation read your history and you shall see everything what is taking place today is not by chance. What goes around comes back around in two folds. It is written. do not think that by raping a countries resources to the mere point the leaders of the world are now seeing the mistakes and want to get back in bed with the same continent you throw your bitterness on. My friend the same Africa that you have denounced will be poring billions into the region of the Caribbean they have already embraced the Caribbean people by working with Tech companies formed right here in the Caribbean to better their digital banking systems in Africa. I do not know what news you are reading but i can tell you it is one of mere hatred. Know who you are before you know where you are going and then maybe just maybe we can see where we as a region went wrong and are suffering today because of it. Do not blame your Prime Minister blame the lack of understanding the the fact that for years we have been classically conditioned through education of the masses as well as ignorance not to see where the great empires came from or did we just choose to ignore it. I have traveled to many African countries. Your view of poverty and view of advancement are two definitively different things . The Caribbean is behind has along way to catchup , Banking, Manufacturing, Science and I can go on and on. You said it yourself ” it was Africans against Africans that stopped Antigua from becoming the first African state in the Caribbean” there is more to this story that you have stated ; hence why today your bloodline is repeating the same generations later.. “His story ” your history!! Mark this day and say I said it. All the nations fore which we praise will be knocking on the same continent that you dislike their people for assistance with helping them build back their countries when the biggest recession slaps us all in the face with the uppercut we never will see coming.

  4. Emily, spelling and syntax issues aside, your argument is incomprehensible, as well as your knowledge of Nigeria and West Africa is extremely weak.

The functioning of Nigeria is predominantly based on fraud, which is commonly refer to as 419. I invite you to watch the clip below:
    https://www.youtube.com/live/k8Mb6sFFUxk?feature=share
Three Nigerians knowingly set out to manipulate and take advantage of a young man from a poor background to illegally donate one of his organs.

The fraudsters went to extreme lengths to deceived the UK authorities, as well as the medical profession. The actions of those Nigerians are despicable and must be viewed as abhorrent.

The case cited is not isolated , it’s one of many fraudulent activities Nigerians have engaged in. They have committed numerous fraudulent acts in Trinidad, if in doubt do a Google search. The UK government has imposed stringent visa restrictions on Nigeria because of they fraudulent escapades.

Gaston’s migrants with the knowledge of Olabanjo entered Antigua in the early hours of the morning in November 2022 remains a mystery. At best they were trafficked, and worse they are crooks who tried to used Antigua to enter the US illegally.

Less than four months of Gaston’s migrants being in Antigua, a number of them were engaged in fraudulent activities, involving the Police and the courts. The nation await with abated breath of the outcomes.

I have in excess of forty years of dealing with Nigerians and whilst you’re right, Nija has potentials to be a developing country but it’s factual Nigeria is a corrupt country.

Nigeria only had one President Mutualah Muhammad, who tried to implement good governance and transparency and what happened to him? He was murdered. He was killed by a close associate because he wanted Nigeria to be seen and regarded on the world stage, as a credible country.
I can’t accept responsibility for some Nigerians lack of exposure to the outside world. The Pan African movement where a notable Trinidadian endeavour to Foster collaboration between West Africa and the Caribbean failed because NIgeria and Ghana were hindrances.

It is important for one to be au fait with geopolitics and history to provide or make cogent arguments rather than emitional expressions. You are right, I do not belong to the school or assumed the position of back to Africa. I do however, accept that majority of Caribbeans are predomnantly descendants of West Africa, but where and do they regards us as such?

I am a born Antiguan, a proud Antiguan and unlike Gaston et al who are prepared to allow Antigua to perpetually be a safe heaven for fraudsters to strives, I will speak out.
Come on Antiguans, let’s make Antigua great again!

  5. Dear Antigua4ever,

You are the last person to speak to anyone about Nigeria or any country for that matter in Africa. You take it upon yourself to share a link about THREE frauders and Trinidad ? You cannot be serious. You want to educate me on Geopolitical issues ? You see as a Criminologist you cannot tell me about crimes committed by those whom you specifically label as Nigerians. I now feel compelled to rearrange your ignorance to the fullest. So I guess you are going to now tell me that the biggest crimes in the world when it comes to fraud are Nigerians who are committing these too? Let’s not go down that road. Stop watching media and get hard core crimes facts and you will clearly see it is not Nigerians. If you so called want to make Antigua “great” again then it surely not the Africans you want to keep out. I will keep this debate respectful because I can see you are clearly barking up the wrong tree. When you do not know you really do not know from one born Antiguan to another.

  7. Emily,
I am not a criminologist, but if criminologists, are to be judged by the level of emotional nonsense you have expressed here, heaven helps us!

The three Nigerian fraudsters that were referred to are three of many, Trinidad was mentioned to allow you to do your own research to broaden your outlook on the matter. As a criminologist, you should be able to provide quantitative statistical evidence to justify your arguments, instead you maintained a weak defence based on emotions.

Herewith is evidence that you couexplo that ranks Nigeria as the top country for scam and areas of scamming:
    https://www.techbusinessnews.com.au/top-5-scamming-coutries-in-the-world-in-2023/#nigeria.

Before rearranging my ignorance, I think you mean informed my “ignorance “, you need to get you expressions or phrases right first, as it is impossible to rearrange someone’s ignorance doh!

Nevertheless, despite your endeavourments, you are yet to provide substance to what you are advocating. I await to see your “hard-core evidence.” I am only too aware that there are some Antiguans who might subscribes to your wishy-washy hysterical nonsense by allowing fraudsters to perpetually take Antiguans for fools, I can aver I am not one of them. Are you a born Antiguan?

Apart from West Africans who played a part in the enslavement of Caribbeans, they have never played a part in our development or existence. However, we have contributed significantly to West Africa, if in doubt checkout Caribbeans such as Ulric Cross’s contributions who assisted Ghana to gain their independence, and the PAN African movements and Marcus Garvey. In addition, Bob Marley’s music that raised their awareness.

No West African country has apologise to the Caribbean for their contributions in our enslavement.

There are similarities with your argument between the buffoon PM who told Antiguans that the Africans who entered Antigua under a cloud of deception were “rich tourists”. instead we saw poor migrants, scam artists and opportunists and some even took it upon themselves to depart from Antigua on a doomed voyage. When Antiguans woke up to their skulduggery they turned ungrateful.

I detect from some of your expressions used you are a West African under disguise; either way it matters not. We are going to have to agree to disagree.

  8. I do not deal with flush toilet foolishness.
So the phrase is ” since I cannot Improve your intelligence allow me to rearrange your ignorance ”

When it comes to facts what it would really take me is possibly 6 years to pull research that is there for all the world to see hard cases not two or three video clips telling me what serious fraud has been committed and who stands behind them. Again I will tell you , you are so so wrong on this. So if it is that you are full of hatred because you had a few bad experiences. I am sorry Nobody can change that you have to look inside of yourself and fix you.

Again just to let you know I am very much Antiguan by birth only difference is my mind is not myopic and this has nothing to do with my education . This shows that your political views have taken over the reality of a situation. This has to do with the fact that you hate in the worst ways so it is pointless telling you the real truth. History tells a story that you cannot erase. Keep digging on only anything that you can find about Africans when your ready to talk about Real fraud. Come and talk to me. Born and raised in Liberta so I am very, very much Antiguan to the bone. This is why I see right through the garbage that you have presented time and time again. You honestly think in your wilderness dreams that your clips means much? If I really had good old fashion time to tell you about real cold hard research as to the biggest crimes that were committed by scammers your mouth would drop.
Seems to me you are angry at who sits in Government as your Prime Minister . So in a nutshell I am guessing you support UPP ? Let me tell you as a woman who has knowledge beyond what you can comprehend about the world we live in and what country produces the biggest frauders, the colors Red and Blue for that matter Orange existed long before you and I existed.
There is no link you put up, no amount of “crystalized rhetoric” of your internal hate for Nigerians or Africans for that matter going to change facts. They sit on Forbes 500 hundred list. They do invest in the Caribbean. They produce some great medical minds. They are smart people. So not all of them are criminals and for you to state this is highly incorrect. They are not the world’s biggest scammers. I have done real research to get where I am today not pick and choose to or three articles and links. YOU ARE WRONG PERIOD.
So when you want to call the Prime Minister of the country you claim to love so much names which again carry no weight and talking about make Antigua great again with what and how do you intend to do that in your lifetime? You have some big ideas where you intend to generate billions of dollars? Oh wait don’t tell me China you are going to seek more aide from China, no wait ok yes! United States they will give us all the help we need, oh but no how about United Kingdom? yes those British pounds will save me. How about some crumpets and some tea? Lovely Switzerland and Germany because these counties have ever so clean ” clean ‘ money that they care so much about the Caribbean they will give us the world.

Go and do real hard research “tap mek yuhself one r***” all in the name of hatred for Nigerians
120,000 population cannot yeid enough revenue in taxes to sustain this tiny Island and no tourism , is not going to do it neither.

You have so much boldness in you to call your Prime Minister the name you called him yet you fail to see the bigger picture. You like to bring down your own race of people. Did you know that there has been some Antiguans living in Africa for years running very successful companies? Not just Antiguans but other individuals from across the Caribbean ? Living well right there in Africa. Choices they have made and have never regretted it. It is people such as yourself whom they would laugh at. I notice you talk about 90% poverty out of how much million people? So let us talk about poverty in the Caribbean Islands out of how many hundred thousand per Island ( million for Jamaica and Trinidad ) how did that happen? I thought you know how to make Antigua great again you have all the solutions don’t you. You have a friend who is Nigerian yet because you and him feel the way you do because of bad experiences this gives you the right to say ALL of them are fraudsters. Go have a drink and process what you are saying .You make no sense hence this is why people such as yourself need to stay OUT of office.

  9. Emily, evidently, I have over indulged you. You have banged on repeatedly about “facts” , but you are yet to present any supporting evidence.

You claimed you’re a criminologist, if there’s truth to your claim, then that is very disturbing and it leads me to wonder where you got your qualification from.

I am aware that there’s a place in Nigeria, Ikeja where they produce fake documents, including faked University degrees and to the naked eye they could be considered as real, if in doubt ask Olabanjo, or better still take a trip to Lagos.

I know you have difficulties with interpreting veiled messages, therefore, I am questioning your claim for holding a degree obtained from a credible University, conversely I am thinking maybe you are out from Clearview on respite, either way it is very worrying.

You were presented with factual evidence from the UK, statistical evidence from a reputable source ranking Nigeria as number one country for scams, they reputation for fraudulent
activities in Trinidad, as well as in Antigua; plus me having forty years experience of living, and working with Nigerians and you are still in denial.

I invite you to present hard-core evidence to substantiate your argument rather than your continous nonsensical ranting. Incidentally, as a “criminologist” you should have evidence to support your weak and unfounded arguments. I can only suggest you continue with your medication or ask your psychiatrist to increase the doseages.

Note: I didn’t asked about your professional or educational background, you voluntarily informed me, and based on your performance, I am left in awe, shaking my head in disbelief.
As mentioned earlier, I have over indulged you, so don’t expect future responses, as you are clearly deranged.

  10. My qualifications as a Criminologist is why I constantly tell you that you pull your so called facts from links that DO not give you the true picture. You cannot touch me when it comes to criminal research at all. I can only feel sorry for the way you think. The largest group of fraudsters who have committed some of the biggest fraudulent activities in the world DO Not come from Africa . They come from this side of the world mainly the continent right below the great Caribbean and more precise Central and South America. Trillions of dollars Stop while you are still ahead as I stated 6 years of research is a lot. I would love to debate with you on national TV so that I can put you and your hatred in its Diplomatic place. Do not bring UK as a reputable source because that is a double edge sword… that is the last place to talk about reputable sources when it comes to Africa they borrowed money from Africa to help them with World War ll. I am not hear to indulge you or anyone for this matter you cannot tell me about Nigeria or most countries in Africa for that matter I too have spent time and have done business and STILL to this day continue to do business in these countries. Go and do your homework properly you cannot touch me when it comes to who has committed the highest amount of fraud in the world. Stop right there and do your homework that is all I have to say . I have nothing to prove to you I have done my homework hence I sit with confidence to tell you I feel sorry for you. hence I believe “Clareview” as opposed to “Clearview” fore it is “clear” your heat needs cleansing. Man up and stop spreading foolishness to the people you care about “sooooo ” in Antigua You will never be able to touch my degree nor the work that I have completed thus far when it come to both Africa and the Caribbean where it applies to crime. digital Microphone. Now dropped. Have yourself a wonderful day and take it upon your self to ask the good lord or maybe even Allah to pray for you daily. You do not love yourself and it is clear the words that you have expressed with such hate for people of Africa is a bitter disease fore which I have no words. But like I have stated ” wait and mark my words who will be their in the regions time of need the most when the “uppercut’ comes” As much as you cry down one man a Prime Minister for all the countries issues I see that the problem is not him it is the mindset which surrounds the country. Hope for the best my dear fellow Antiguan because your hate can never be the solution.
