He described the repeated 32% compensation offer as a “pittance” and advised employees against accepting it.
Despite proposed incentives like EC$75,000 payouts per employee, government bonds, land plots, and UWI scholarships, Senator Massiah believes these measures fall short of fair compensation for years of dedication to LIAT.

He criticized Prime Minister Gaston Browne for what he sees as a lack of negotiation and compared the situation unfavorably to other Caribbean leaders’ approaches.
Meanwhile, LIAT 2020 is advancing toward its inaugural flights, with potential operations starting in the coming weeks.
