It is alleged that the 17-year-old Yorks Village resident was standing on Hand Street in Villa when a red Toyota Vitz pulled up and two men wearing masks exited the vehicle and attacked him.
As a result, the teenager sustained a wound to the left side of his abdomen.
The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) was summoned to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital, where he was treated and admitted.
Reportedly his injury was described as serious, but his condition was stable.
It was a 911 operator who notified the Police about the incident, which reportedly occurred at about 3:45 p.m on March 7.
Meanwhile, a Bendals man has been taken into custody by the Police in connection with the discovery of close to quarter of a million dollars worth of marijuana at the main cargo port last week.
Reports are that the 37-year-old man is assisting with investigations into the discovery of 41 pounds of the illegal drug, discovered at the Deep Water Harbour cargo shed during a joint drug-interdiction operation.
The substance was contained in two cardboard boxes containing 41 vacuumed sealed packages, on March 7.
It reportedly has an estimated street value of $246,000.
