A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder, unlawful wounding, and unlawful confinement.
The incident occurred on October 29 around 9 p.m. when Deron Campbell, a Jamaican national, had a confrontation with his 47-year-old employer, Ovid Lewis, at Lewis’s residence in Ferris Farm.
During the altercation, Ovid was stabbed, and Ovid’s son, 21-year-old T-Shawn Lewis, was also injured.
Campbell then took Ovid’s wife and 8-year-old daughter hostage in the bathroom, wielding a knife.
He has been remanded until his next court hearing on January 10.

It seems like he don’t have any face. Picture of Pastor Otto was quickly uploaded, what happened to that criminal? Plenty others committed grave crimes…no picture. A lot of them come here and rape, break into people’s homes, rob them; some women can’t walk the roads in peace. Jail them and deport them after serving sentences. If they have our passports, revoke them.
I agree with your comment. I keep telling people that Antigua has changed over time because of the migration of immigrants especially from Jamaica, Guyana and the San Domingo. When 99.9% of our population were native born Antiguans, women were free to walk any hours at night, sleeping with our windows and doors unlocked. These immigrants bad culture have influenced a lot of this generation of native Antiguans for today.
