I’m a 22-year-old millionaire. 9-to-5s are a waste of time

Work smarter, not harder.

Cam Moar, a self-proclaimed Australian millionaire, believes people are “mindlessly wasting their lives” working 9 to 5 jobs.

“They are taught that all you do in life is go to school, then get a degree or a trade, buy a house and spend the rest of your life paying it off,” he said to JamPress.

“I want to open people’s eyes to what’s possible,” Moar shared. “I just want them to see what they could do with their lives instead of spending them working soul-destroying 9-to-5s.”

The 22-year-old got a taste of the workforce as a teenager when he accepted a four-year carpentry apprenticeship.

He remembers working “back-breaking” 12-hour shifts five days a week for $600.

“I enjoyed woodworking, which is why I did carpentry. It was great to start with but quickly became dull and monotonous – like most jobs,” Moar said.

Eventually, Moar realized there was “more to life than making his boss rich.”

He quit his apprenticeship six months before the program was finished, leaving behind his dreams of becoming a manager in the construction industry, making $100,000.

Moar’s parents were concerned about his career transition, but he eliminated their doubts when he brought in $69,000 within his first two months of selling products through e-commerce.

“When the money first started coming in, I was blown away,” he said. “In just a couple of days of selling online, I was making my weekly salary as an apprentice and I wasn’t killing my body.”

Moar founded an e-commerce firm in 2020 called “6 Figure Drop Shipper,” where he works two to three hours a day teaching people the art of the e-commerce industry.

Two years later, the entrepreneur rakes in $250,000 per month and is worth $1 million.

“Now, every day is truly different and I am a master of my own destiny,” Moar revealed. “I still work hard, but I’m not getting up at 5 a.m. to drive an hour to work to build someone else’s house.”

Moar admits the business can be risky, “It could crumble at any point and that is always at the back of my mind. It’s all my risk, but it’s all my reward too.”

The self-made millionaire treats himself by traveling to exotic locations, living in his $1.2 million beachfront home and driving a $180,000 BMW M5.

“I would be lying if I said I love e-commerce because I don’t. But I love being rich and what it enables me to do with my life,” he added.
