Reports say that a 48-year-old householder had secured her home at about 10 p.m. on April 16, and gone to bed at about 2:20 a.m. the following morning.
However, she later woke to discover an intruder inside her home. It is alleged that the man had entered via an awning window by using a hard implement to pry it open.
Reportedly, the intruder then climbed through the window, gaining access to the living room, where he stole a grey HP laptop; a Samsung Galaxy J7 cell phone valued at $500; and a black North Face knapsack valued at $125. Allegedly the victim’s 17-year-old daughter was asleep in the living room and
was awakened when the intruder touched her breasts before making his escape through the front door.
The burglar is described as about 5 feet 6 inches tall, of a slim build, and dark in complexion. At the time, he was wearing blue pants with a grey shirt tied over his face.
The home invasion was reported to the Grays Farm Police Station, and officers searched the surrounding areas for the suspect, but without success.
