7:56 PM UPDATE: We have now learned that Bramble has been moved to the St. John’s Police Station and the option of bail is available.

Well-known social-media personality Washington Bramble was reportedly arrested Wednesday afternoon while at work at the Ministry of Education. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATSAPP GROUP FOR NEWS UPDATES.

She was taken to the Longford Police Station and charged.

The nature of the charges are not immediately clear and unconfirmed reports are that she remains in custody at this time.

She is expected to appear in court on Thursday.

Bramble was previously taken into custody by police on Friday, March 4, charged that same night with an offence under the Electronic Crimes Act, and spent the weekend in custody.

Those charges stemmed from posts Bramble made to her Facebook page after it was announced that former Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh had been tipped to take up the post of Acting Director of Public Prosecutions.

Two posts suggested that Walsh is corrupt and there would be conflicts arising from her appointment.

Reports are that Walsh got a hold of both comments and reported the matter to the police, and investigations were launched, leading to Bramble being detained.

Six of the charges levied against Bramble were withdrawn in July.

  1. Truly funny how this antyman can be so messy and be involved in many unethical behavior and still have work but good people who have masters degree and apply for work in the ministry of education and is rejected because the reason I loc my hair. This country always endorse the devils and disregard people who come back home to make abpositice contribution lol. When the PS of Ministry of education told me that “my resume and qualifications are exceptional but the only push back is the reason I loc my hair” that is when I know the devil only promote evil people to be around children and provide no positive contribution. I never applied for money purpose to just to contribute. Such is life lol 😆

  2. Imagine in your own place/culture…being turned away for locs lmaoooo. These people can’t be serious and is not like that is an indicator for your level of professionalism.
