Police are investigating the drowning of a toddler at Briggins.
The family of three-year-old Zyonandon Collin Hope found him floating face down in a swimming pool just after 8 this morning.
The Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and immediately began administering CPR, and subsequently transported him to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre. Doctors at the hospital also tried to resuscitate him; however, were unsuccessful. His body was pronounced dead at 8:37 am.
Zyonandon and his mother arrived in the country about two weeks ago from the United States to spend time with family.
