Participation in the course will be cost-freeto approved students through fully-funded scholarships.
The opportunity is being made possible through a partnership between Integrated HealthOutreach Inc. (IHO) and the prestigious Santo Domingo Institute for Technology(INTEC), endorsed by the World Bank (WB) with support from the Critical EcosystemPartnership Fund (CEPF) and the World Bank’s Global Partnership for SocialAccountability (GPSA).
The course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to make adifference in biodiversity conservation.
In a world facing unprecedented environmentalchallenges, biodiversity conservation has never been more crucial, and this comprehensiveonline certification program will delve into the importance of collaborative socialaccountability in safeguarding our region’s precious ecosystems.
IHO Executive Director, Dr. Nicola Bird, states, “We are truly elated to be able toannounce this opportunity, especially against the backdrop of the challenges smallisland developing states [SIDS] are facing in tackling climate change and its impacts.Biodiversity conservation is more vital than ever before.

The scholarships are funded by the CEPF and the GPSA. Both organizations’ dedication toenvironmental stewardship and social responsibility has paved the way for this incredibleopportunity.
CEPF is a joint biodiversity conservation initiative of the French DevelopmentAgency, Conservation International, the European Union, the Global Environment Facility, theGovernment of Japan, and the World Bank.
The GPSA, which is a department within theWorld Bank, facilitates the collaboration of civil society organizations with governments, andengagement of citizens to solve development problems, strengthen accountability, andimprove sector governance.
