A safe containing $50,000 belonging to a church on All Saints Road allegedly was stolen from the home of a woman several days ago.
Reports say the alleged victim had left home after securing the money in a black safe located in her bedroom. The safe was said to also contain her Antigua and Barbuda passport and birth certificate.
When she returned home almost eight hours later – having been gone from 8:45 a.m. until 4 p.m. on December 5 – she discovered that the safe had been stolen.
She reported the robbery through 911 and police officers visited her home, where they observed no signs of forced entry.
A search was carried out for the stolen safe but was not successful.
