Dr. Cort, acknowledging the efforts led by Professor Williams and his team, stated, “Professor Williams and his committed team embarked on a very clear strategy aimed at increasing the number of individuals who matriculate to tertiary and higher education enrollment.”
The long-term vision outlined aims to grow the student enrollment to 5,000 within the next decade.
Dr. Cort highlighted the short-term objectives, stating, “In particular, within the next two to three years, the campus intends to grow its enrollment to at least 1,500 students.”
The campus has already seen significant growth in recent years.
Dr. Cort noted, “In September of 2019, 173 students enrolled at the Five Islands Campus. This number grew to 301 in 2020, followed by a 43.4 per cent increase in 2021, with the enrollment surging to 700 students during the year under review.”
Looking ahead, the Five Islands Campus is set to intensify its efforts, aiming to enroll 300 to 400 students in the next academic year.
Dr. Cort emphasized, “One of the key initiatives for the next academic year is to enroll 300 to 400 students, which will bring the Five Islands Campus closer to its vision with respect to student enrollment.”
These plans reflect the campus’s commitment to providing quality education and expanding opportunities for students in the region.
Dr. Cort expressed confidence in the campus’s ability to achieve these goals, stating, “As we add more vigor to our drive and spread the good news of our successes, we are confident in our ability to attract more students and continue our trajectory of growth and excellence.”
