Rihanna reveals her biggest pregnancy craving is one specific fruit with salt

Rihanna is stunning for her new Vogue cover where she poses pregnant and dishes all things pregnancy — including the cravings she’s been having.

These days she’s feeling sweet over salty.

“I usually hate desserts, but suddenly you come close to me with a chocolate-covered donut and you’ve got my heart forever,” she says.

But her biggest craving is a fruity twist: tangerines with salt.

“It has to be with salt and only with salt,” she says, revealing she eats them by the dozen. “In Barbados we take our fruits to the ocean and soak them. Trust me, it really is a thing.”

The 34-year old and BF A$AP Rocky announced in January that they’re expecting and since then, Rihanna has rewritten the book on maternity wear.

“It’s too much fun to get dressed up,” she adds. “I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing.”

Rihanna is currently in her third trimester but her due date and the baby’s sex are unknown.

“When we’re ready to tell the world, we’ll just tell them,” she adds.

Something she IS ready to tell the world is how her mom reacted to meeting A$AP for the first time. It was Christmas 2020 when she brought A$AP home to Barbados.

“My mother has a really good read on people. She observes first and then she’ll move slowly,” Riri said. “I guess I’m like that too..”

“There are some guys that I’ve dated that she won’t even look at to this day. But she was charmed by him from the jump.”

Rihanna added that the trip home was notable for another reason: it was an opportunity for Rocky to connect with the place his father grew up.

“To see him in a space where he’s imagining his dad as a boy, walking the same streets as his dad walked, eating the same food as his dad ate, it was really heartwarming,” she said.

And OF COURSE Rihanna gave us the tinies, littlest, most miniscule sliver of hope she’ll release an album eventually. Saying she believes Anti is her best album to this day, she explained this next one is going to be the most “authentic” music she’s ever put out.

“I’m looking at my next project completely differently from the way I had wanted to put it out before. I think this way suits me better, a lot better.”

“It’s authentic, it’ll be fun for me, and it takes a lot of the pressure off.”
