PAN D’ GARDEN presented a unique and rare opportunity for patrons to experience an intimate connection with the melodic and Rhythmic sounds of steel band.

This opened the patron’s appetite of both young and old in attendance, leaving same with an insatiable craving for the discipline.

The Evening commenced with the Law Enforcement Steel a.k.a Police Iron band playing from the entrance of the Garden, and doubled as a guide in a journey that resulted in attendees experiencing the top eight (8) steel bands from across Antigua.

As patrons seamlessly transitioned from band to band, delivering a fluid epiphany of an eclectic parley of eardrums dialoguing with sweet pan music.

Ebonites opened with a series of renditions that consisted of local and regional compositions, then like magic, Claudette CP Peters appeared singing her 2022 hitsong “I Need it” to the sweet beat, setting the stage for what would become an unforgettable evening.

The Iron band lead tour continued to Harmonites performance, followed by Original, Gemonites, and West Side. Panache performed an intoxicating set.

No one could miss the sweetness of the Steelpan; the young and old were captivated. An enthusiastic, intrigued and captivated audience then journeyed to Hell’s Gate, where the audience likened their rendition to that of a competitive presentation at ARG when they played Short Shirt “No Body Go Run Me’’.

The night concluded with Halcyon bringing down the curtain with equal competitive energy, hype, and vibes, captivating the hundreds in attendance including Former Prime Minister Hon. Baldwin Spencer a figure synonymous with Halcyon Steel Orchestra.

As the crowd filtered out of the Botanical Gardens, the conversations surrounded a great anticipation for Pan D’ Beach on July 17th with highly anticipated expectations after PAN D’ GARDEN.

The Ministry of Creative Industries and Innovation (MCII) and the Antigua and Barbuda Pan Association (ABPA) expresses their gratitude to the patrons for their support and look forward to your continued support for the upcoming event at Pan D Beach – on July 17th, 2022, at 3:00 pm Valley Church Beach and Pan D Mix – on July 31st, 2022, at ARG. as we continue in our journey to reigniting pan.
