Nicholls strutted her way to the title by dominating in four of the five judged segments; Best Interview, Swimwear, Performing Talent and Best Modelling Skills in Evening Wear.

The newly crowned queen made a clear statement very early in the pageant with her energy and confidence which remained consistent throughout the evening.

For the interview segment, Nicholls’ question was centred around the lessons taught by COVID-19. She was asked to advise the Government on how to diversify our economies in the Caribbean away from the dependence on Tourism.  Nicholls said the COVID-19 Pandemic is one of the worst public health crises of our time, which has posed several challenges, but has equally taught us to be a resilient people.

She mentioned that we should not only have the capacity to endure challenges but to get stronger in the midst of it. In this regard, Nicholls suggested that Caribbean islands advance and expand our agricultural sector; by investing in agriculture and educating our people about the importance of toiling our fertile land. This, she said, can help us to reap economic benefits.

In the other segment-the Swimwear, all contestants modelled swimwear of varying shades of pink and unique designs. Nicholls however, modelled a light pink swimwear adorned with rhinestones as well as a matching headband.

Nicholls’ performing talent was a dramatic dance piece focusing on “Anxiety,” which is listed as the most common mental health disorder that exists. She bravely presented acrobatic dance moves on and through a cube that hung from the ceiling of the stage.

Additionally, Nicholls brought back memories of the night at the St.Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Queen Pageant, as she gracefully strutted the stage in dazzling red evening wear, bright red lipstick and her dreadlocks in an updo-style.

Nicholls was sponsored by the St-Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Committee. The other contestants were Nia St Claire from Montserrat, Briana Anthony from Antigua and Barbuda, Chronna Khan from Trinidad and Tobago, Wenia Verneuil from St Lucia, Kathlyn Archibald-Drew from the British Virgin Islands, as well as Paul Anne Estima from Haiti, who resides in St.Kitts.

There were four unjudged segments. Miss Congeniality was presented to Miss Haiti, Most Photogenic- Miss St. Lucia, Best in Cultural Wear- Miss St. Lucia and Most True to theme- Miss St.Kitts.

The Miss Jaycees Show is an annual pageant which forms part of the activities for the Antigua and Barbuda Carnival. Following Jaycees Queen Nekirah Nicholls was First Runner up- Chronna Khan from Trinidad and Tobago and Second Runner up- Wenia Verneuil from St. Lucia.

Nicholls is now listed amongst ladies from St.Kitts and Nevis who have claimed the Miss Jaycees Queen title. These include Iantavian Queeley- Miss Jaycees 2011, Kaeve Armstrong Miss Jaycees 2014 and Sheniqua Lanns, Miss Jaycees 2018.
