Peetron Thomas, Humanitarian and Telecommunications Coordinator for the NODS – St. Peter’s District Disaster Team, is extending a heartfelt invitation to all willing and able men and women to join hands in support of the upcoming Clean Up Campaign in Paynters. This community-driven initiative aims to make a positive impact and foster unity within the St. Peter’s Constituency.
Scheduled for Saturday, November 11, the campaign will kick off at 5 AM, starting at the Piggotts Football playing field on the eastern side. The organizers are calling on volunteers and residents, especially those from Paynters, to actively participate in this significant community project.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their tools, including rakes, shovels, weed cutters, garbage bags, and gloves, to assist in the clean-up efforts. This grassroots movement emphasizes that the initiative is entirely apolitical and centered around the well-being of the community.
Peetron Thomas shared the message, “This has nothing to do with politics; it’s all about the community.” The primary goal is to enhance the living conditions in Paynters for the benefit of all residents.
The team is appreciative of the support received thus far and is enthusiastic about the continued support from the community as they progress. Furthermore, this Clean Up Campaign is just the beginning, as the team plans to extend its efforts to other villages within St. Peter’s Parish in the near future. Expect more community-driven projects on the horizon.
