After a three-year legal battle, a couple accused of child endangerment has had their case dismissed due to insufficient evidence. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATSAPP GROUP FOR NEWS UPDATES.
The charges stemmed from an incident in 2020, where they were accused of severely beating their son.
The trial, which commenced in October 2021, included testimony from the child detailing the alleged abuse.
However, other witnesses, including the police, failed to provide satisfactory testimonies regarding the accusations.
Last month, the prosecution closed its case, prompting the defense to make a no case submission.
Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh upheld the submission, resulting in the married couple’s release.
